Not Again...

So here we go again in Lebanon. Man. Haven't these people endured enough? Why are the lebanese paying the price for Syrian and Iranian involvement in the fued w/ Israel? Why doesn't the media differentiate between Christians and Muslims in Lebanon.

Watching this thing is really gut-wrenching for me, knowing what the country has already gone through and seeing what's happening not just to those being hurt and killed, but also to the psyche of those left behind. This is a really big deal and I think it will become a bigger deal as time goes on. I think my slightly pro-Israel stance is starting to change in the wake of this BS.

It's hard to find one article that sums things up, but the Washington Post has had some pretty good ones lately. Here's a good op-ed peice that reflects the lunacy of what Israel is currently doing along with a common-sense solution to the micro problem, while painting it against the ghastly US foreign policy in the region. Just to offer another side, this peice lays out a great argument, but I don't think it's possible for Israel to do the job correctly. Nonetheless, this could be the outcome if they do the job at all. And, speaking of foreign policy, here's one about the rift within the conservatives. Happy Reading!
